New year, new me?

Well, no. I'm pretty pleased with my life so far, but it is traditional to make some resolutions at this time of year, so here I go.

1. Stop procrastinating! For example, publish New Year's post before the month is half over.

2. Get hobbies. Besides reading and watching the telly. Not that those are bad hobbies. I really like both of them! But maybe I should diversify. I could start playing my cello more. I could sew beautiful dresses with all of my patterns that I have. I could learn Spanish. Gardening. Write a novel. This could be the year I finally learn how to swim! I'll never know unless I start getting more hobbies.

3. Become more stretchy. I can touch my toes (impressive, no?), but this year I could learn to do the splits! Probably not (if that was going to happen, it would have happened already).

4. Read all my church assignments during the week so I know what's going on in RS and Sunday School. I have this goal every year, and every year it seems like I mess it up. But this is my year! I can feel it!

5. Cook more. I'd like to start making actual meals at least twice a week. I eat a lot of sandwiches. And I love sandwiches, but there should be more to life than just sandwiches!

6. Be more ambitious. Seriously, only 4 real goals, and I'm already feeling a little overwhelmed. I'm not sure how to accomplish this one, but I'll do it!

7. Last but not least, use fewer exclamation points. I seem ridiculously enthusiastic about some of these things.

What about you? Any good resolutions this year?

Well, i sure like you exactly the way you are.... but okay, if you could do the splits, I wouldn't like you less ;) These are good goals! I need to make some, I think I will steal your RS/ sunday school lesson one. And i want to be more patient with my deaf dog.

I love the hobbies goal--as you know, hobbies, or the lack thereof, has been a thorn in my side for quite some time. Going to a movie by myself last night really got me thinking about being less of a chicken about said hobbies and doing them regardless of whether someone else will do them with me and make me not feel retarded or not. Did that make sense? Anywho, you rarely seem overenthusiastic--and who says enthusiasm is bad?!!!!
